WIP: Girls' Room Edition

These people are experiencing post traumatic stress.

And here's why...

They barely made it out from under the bed to safety. Thanks to Prince Derek's quick thinking and mad driving skills, they were able to get to the rug. They collapsed with relief and exhaustion, thankful for their very lives. I find it now my duty to provide a safe environment...a haven, if you will...for these poor souls. I will report back with my progress. **salutes**

Gas Giants all around us

Our Astronomy lesson went from bad to worse today due to the fact that we were studying Gas Giants. (We lost Philip and Aaron immediately)

Jupiter is considered a gas giant. It has a small, rocky core, but all around this core are swirling gases. So, Jupiter is a big ol' ball of atmosphere.

Saturn is also a gas giant made mostly from Helium and Hydrogen.

Did you know Uranus was a gas giant, as well? *snicker*

Me: Can you name any other Gas Giants in our solar system?

Aaron: (still giggling)Papa Larry?

Me: (above hysterical laughter) Well, I was looking for Neptune, but...(laughter continues)...nevermind.

A lesser known, but my favorite Gas Giant...Larry.

WIP

I reconnected with an old friend at our shiny, new church and when I told her I homeschooled my five kids, she said, "You must be the most organized person in the world!". Well, if I had gotten my Buxton Bag, this might be true. But, after 8 weeks of waiting, I cancelled my order. That's all I'm going to say for now because I'm just not ready to talk about it. And I'm exactly the opposite of "the most organized person in the world". I am a "planner", not a "finish-the-jobber". I'm a "run-around-the-house-and-cry-because-I-wasted-yet-another-day-procrastinating-so-I'll-take-it-out-on-my kids-er". OK, I'll stop.

In other news, my new BFF, Diana came yesterday and cleaned my house. It took her 6 hours. When she finished, I asked her if she was mad at me and she said, "No." In anticipation of her visit, I decluttered the boys' room so she could really get in there and "git 'er done". Here are the results:
